After two days of being couped up inside I couldn't wait to get out, since the postman had been to the house and I had a new Orvis clearwater reel, Bankshot float and sink tip lines, as well as a new Fisknat net to try out. They all got a real workout today and are fantastic pieces of gear. I used the sink tip line today with a variety of flies, but a prince nymph worked to get a 14" 1.5#er and a 18" 2#er, along with a little one I had to kill 'cause it was bleeding. Needed to fish a faster retrieve today than past trips. Caught and release seveal big ones, along with the two I kept, plus scores of the little ones. By about 9:00 the people really started to show up, so I left. Wind came from all directions at 15-20mph. Water and air both in the mid fifties.
