We got a new puppy so this years annual trip to Lake Merwin was a solo one for me……
It rained….. then blew… then rained some more… lol
I joined the fleet of boats near Speelyai.. there was not much action.. a few nets here and there… I had a few hook ups and landed one small Kokanee…. I decided to run down the dam.. that was a good decision… I ended up getting 6 nice sizes Kokes before a big storm came in.
Sunday I fished the dam area and limited around 11AM
Monday morning I got 8 and was off the water by 9 and on my way home by 11.
Arrow flashers, orange hoochies tipped with garlic scented corn stole the show…
Typical speed was between 1.5-1.7
Depth of wire was 20-30 with 26 producing the most fish.
Fish seemed to be a little smaller this year???
