With the shad counts up we fished out of Umatilla today and caught some shad and a walleye. The fishing wasn't fast but consistent and we kept a few. Dick Nites and Triple Teasers worked today, with a red head being the important part. We fished a current seam in 20' of water. We had a downrigger set at 18', a plug or dipsey diver rod at 15', and a rod fishing 6'-10' under a 1/2oz float. They all worked equally well it seems. Once we started catching fish we drew pelicans, like vultures.
