First cast a bit after 11.
Started off at a deep point that had success in the past but I didn't feel or see any larger fish in the mix of perch.
So went shallow and worked a jerkbait. Ran it by a dock that looked like it might hold a fish, with nothing. Then pitched the dropshot right behind and within a sec or 2, saw the line moving. Set the hook into a decent SMB. Somehow I changed the scale to kg, so it came out to .99kg lol. Looks like it's right at 2.18 lb or so.
Then caught a couple more dinks.
Was in a shallow inside bend. Saw a bunch of bluegill just hanging out. A couple dink LMB in the mix. Saw 4 big cruising carp. Then I saw 6 or 7 schooled up, at first I thought they were carps too but I'm not too sure. If I didn't know any better, they were slender looking LMB. It looked like they had a horizontal stripe. They were pretty good size fish. Probably high 2's-3# size. It was hard to get a good size view of them due to water clarity and their depth.
I was surprised by the cluster of all these fish in this little bend. They weren't active though. Just hanging out enjoying each others company.
Headed back in by about 1:30.
There were a lot of slow pokes and people blocking the docks when I was trying to load up. So that was annoying.
