Kim, her grandson Malakai, and I got on to Alder Lake about 9am. We said hello to John Knudsen as he was launching as well. It was sunny with hardly a breeze to ripple the water. The wind came up about 10am. Water temperature was 62 degrees. When I got to the vehicle the air temperature read 76. The lake level was 1,205.86 feet which brings the water level at the ramp past the docks and at the cement walkway.
Kim was putting the line in to the water for Malakai when he got his first fish. We hadn’t even been stopped 5 minutes. It kind of went slow after that. No one place out produced another. We ended with Kim 1 kokanee, Malakai 2 kokanee and 2 trout, and I got 3 kokanee and 1 trout. Malakai got the biggest. The trout was 12-13 inches. Of the 6 kokanee only one had a adipose fin (spring plant).
