Wanted to chase Kokanee today, thought about Lake Stevens but when I got to the launch it was just too much, speed boats, jet skiers, well not for me today. Talked to a guy who said why don't you go to Roesiger? Never been there so indeed why not give it a try.
The launch was pretty small, but doable for me since I had my dinghy on a small trailer. Got some tips from a lady just coming in, headed up lake. Interesting lake really, the first section holds mostly trout, the shallow middle section perch and bass, the deeper north end holds kokanee. I headed full steam (electric motor, so not so fast) to the north end. Right off the bat I lost my gear snagged on something I didn't see on my finder, re rigged and fished the choppy water caused by heaps of speed boaters... sigh. Not the peace and quiet I was hoping for but, after 5:30 they have to stop, so that's nice. Saw a lot of big fish on the finder, picked up a not so big Koke, but again lost my total rig on yet another unseen snag 20 feet below the surface of 50' of water. That was it I was done! trolled surface spoons and spinner back down the lake, caught 2 small perch, had a couple good hits, but in the end took home one small Koke, all for the price of 25 bucks worth of gear. :-(

Too much junk in the lake for me, probably stick with my favorite Lake Cavanaugh next time.
