It was a bit of a tough morning on Sammamish. The fish were all shallow today. I got 2 small cutthroat north of the weather bouy and pretty close to shore on a green cripplure almost right away, and thought it was going to be a hot day of fishing, but then it just died. I trolled all around for a couple hours and had a couple big hits that popped the clip on a green wiggle hoochie, but the fish were gone before I ever got to the pole. I switched out to a white wiggle hoochie and had a solid hit while I was putting the line into the downrigger clip. I ended up getting that fish to the boat and it was about 18". It's stomach was completely full with tiny shrimp and 2 smolts about the size of my thumb.
