First time out on Sammamish, started off fishing down south/west of the state park. (9 AM) flipped some spinners/ swimbait, footballs cranks etc you name it. Nothing with my buddy. 4 hours into the day (1:00 Pm) still NO bites. Told my buddy i am pulling out and sticking to my old faithful rig. 1/4 oz bullet weight Carolina rig/ w/ 20 " liter on a 4" zoom lizard (chartreuse pumpkin) Told him i aint fishing nothing else the rest of the day and BAM hooked up 5 SMB with in 2 hours around 1.5-2.5lbs. We had a good laugh and the weather was awesome. Might as well start out using that next time. ALL fish were caught East side of lake between mint grove-inglewood in 12-20' of water on hard bottom. I was fishing the weed lines parallel with shore.
