Hiked into the backcountry of the Methow for my first alpine trout fishing trek of the year. It was a doozy of a trail without much shade due to fires but the reward was worth it. I was greeted with a stunning blue lake absolutely loaded with gorgeous Cutthroat Trout. Using water bobbers I caught a number of fish on nymphs and dries as well as a few on spinners and spoons. Can't wait to do more hikes this summer.
