Had several successful 15 fish limits of koks from Hayden, after fine tuning some gear and rods... Thanks to Tyler "Spilt-Milt" got some nice Lamiglas fiberglass tournament kokanee rods, and some Gamakatsu split shot/drop shot hooks.....and they make a world of difference between lost kokanee, and boxed ones...
fish were found 32-40' of the downriggers, and a 30' setback... when running the minnkota, more may be needed for gas/sound.
hooked into a monster 18" by 7" tall spawning male, suspended in 40' over about 60'fow... crazy looking fish, yeah I kept it. knew the meat might be soft, but just wanted to see for myself.
finished the day throwing some spoons and got my first ever pike! small, but tasted amazing poor mans lobster style!
