I fished near Vernita Bridge with my boys and a buddy on Friday. We downstream trolled mostly but did spend some time trolling upstream. We ran Super baits behind Shortbus 11inch 360 flashers and I also used Leo's flashers and Simon 3.5 spinners. I ran 36inch leaders on all my setups. Hot tamale and rotten banana super baits accounted for several fish but pink colored spinners ruled the day. 4 fish came on the spinners and we had 2 others break off as well a ton of hits on our spinner set ups. I use a combination of dropper rods and downriggers depending on the situation. We really had a great day and ended up one fish short of our boat limit. Too bad the season is ending in several days. Hopefully next year will have another great run.
