My dad and I went fishing for my birthday at the highway 12 side of Mossyrock Dam. We got to the dam around 1:30. The water was well below the ramps so we had to climb way down the rocks to get to the water. We fished a piece of magenta dyed raw shrimp under a slip float, anywhere from 6’ to 12’. I hooked the first fish around 2:30, a nice 13 inch coho at about 6’. Second fish came about two and a half hours later, a 15 inch rainbow at about 12’. The wind was blowing so hard it was lifting my poor foam float out of the water. It was like I was flying a kite 25% of the time. Called it a day at around 5:30. Fish was delicious.
