Haven't made a report is some time, been busy fishin'. With big four still closed after the big floods 2 years ago. I've been fly fishing the other lakes. Fishing has been consistent over the last few weeks, but there have been more people than normal during the busy times, especially weekends. The bridge to Watson is out. Many fish in the 10" and 12" range with several to 15". Bring your favorite fly selection, and try a few presentations until you find what they want on the day.,

Thanks for the report. What are the 4 lakes that are closed? We're heading in that direction in May for some float tube fly fishing and didn't know of the closure. I'm sure the WDFW would have it listed but I figured you might save me a bit of time. Probably better have a look anyway to keep myself out of trouble. Chironomids working this time of year?

Only big 4 is closed, or should I say empty. Sorry if I didn't say it right. Watson no longer has an access bridge, so for now it's a walk from rainbow or wade the river like i did. Spring, Blue, Rainbow and Deer all fish well on different days. Curl opens later after the steelhead smolts are released.
Fishing from floating devices is not allowed, but you can find plenty of spots to fish from shore. By may Bennington should have trout, bass and crappie and is tube friendly.
