The sun was shinning and it was a perfect day to head out to American Lake again. I am trying to find the elusive Kokanee but have yet to encounter any, but definitely not disappointed in the trout! They seem to be of a better quality this year. I did not get on the water until 12:30 in the afternoon but was limited by 4:30 with a couple lost at the boat. I was at 17' on the down rigger looking for the kokes but still ended up with trout. Surface rod was at about 10'. NTO Scent Spinner 1.0 in purple with UV Green Hypervis tape and chartreuse beads and an Arrowflash lemon lime flasher on the one side, and then a Dick Nite and a 2.0 bait blue ice on the other, both with shoepeg corn. If you are looking for some good trout action get out to American!
