Opening day and plenty of rain, but I couldn't pass it up. Was pleasantly surprised that the gates were open when I arrived at 6:30. I love this lake for bass fishing but the gates opening usually at 7:30 and closing at dusk really perturb me.

First fish on at 6:50am, 2nd hit and miss at 7ish and nothing after that for 3 hours. I suspect my patience and the cold rain had everything to do with that as my friend was nailing the stockers the entire time.
