My son and I started fishing at 8:30am and he, of course, had a fish in the boat within about 2 minutes. We fished until noon.

The water temperature was 60-62 degrees. Air temperature was about 60 when the wind wasn’t breezing through. It was partly cloudy.

We both had 2 rods. We were 18 feet on downrigger and went as far down as 30 feet. My son’s second rod was longlined with about 1/2oz weight on the line. When I finally started catching fish, I put weight on and longlined mine, too. My son used both lures green. I used a green and a pink one.

We were using worm and corn until we ran out of worms. My son was doing so well I thought “I stink”. So, I put scent on my bait and within 2 minutes had one on. We had several doubles. Once my son had a double on his side of the boat. My son kept losing a lot of his so, he asks if the hooks get dull. Yep, they do.

Did you see the strange fish hanging with the trout on the video?
