My friend Lonzo and I decided to try black lake which was a new lake for both of us. We arrived just before 8 in the morning. Had the boat launched in no time and decided to troll north. The fish finder was lit up with markS but these stocker trout seemed to have no interest in the lures we offered. After trying the kictchen sink. I noticed we had some worms left in the boat from an eastern Washington trip. To my surprise the worms were still alive. We decided to thread them on a hook and fish them behind a dodger. The worms were in the water less then five minutes and we had our first action of the day. We ended up with two limits of trout after a slow start. The unfortunate part of the day was pulling the boat out. It was quite the show at the ramp but 45 minutes later we got out of there. Note to self, fish early or on the weekdays at Black lake. Tight lines!
