Hump Day Fishing- Catch and Release. Not much could be better. We only fished 11-3pm but it was a super fishing day. Boated 14 fish and easily lost 14. We're such duds that we didn't button up, lost them on a jumps, knocked them off with the net, or tried swinging them over the gunnel while the net was still in-use. But it was so much fun. We even threw in a hot dog and cole slaw lunch for a half hour while we tucked against the shore in the shade.
Today was a very short, modified trout troll as I marked them in a limited area, so we found it best to troll the route, pull lines in, turn the boat 180 and head back the way we came Today and last week were historical. My fishing success has always come from changing lures/bait very frequently. But last week and this I used the same lure and never changed. That is unheard of.
67.5 water, 70 degree air, pretty good chop on the water most of the time and lots of sun...almost too much. We wore ourselves out after only four hours, but we brought back a few fish today to smoke and let most go and ended with K with 4 trout, P with 2 trout, and me winner-winner boating 1 small largemouth and 7 trout.
