I will summarize the last few walleye trips we have had on the Columbia! The fishing is lights out! Every 4-5 years, we get a great spawn of fish with great survival rates and good conditions which puts a lot of fish in the system. We are fishing on 2 year old fish that are 16-18 inches. We are mixing in a few 3-4 year old fish that push that 22-23 inch mark too. Harness fishing in deep water is the go to method with low flows and rising water temps. If we get some flow, we can pull plugs for a bit and try and get some better size fish, but the quantity goes way down. We have a huge heat wave coming here the next few days and hopefully it doesn't negatively impact the bite. I am finishing out the month of June walleye fishing, then I will be switching gears to Summer Kings, starting July 1. If interested in getting out on these trips, give me a call and we can find spots for sure! We would love to have you.
