Walked down from the campsite to the road and was casting a size 8 hook with a single trout egg and an equally sized split shot about 3 inches away from the hook. I could see a fish sunbathing on some gravel about six inches from the shoreline so I casted towards the edge of grass and lily pads and pulled through the grasses. I got a few bites and finally got one in, snapped a few photos and sent it back. The next day I did the same strategy on the other side of the lake and got a few bites and got two to shore. Fun little trip mid-camping!
