My buddy and I went to Riffe. We hit the dam at 4:45 a.m. We were not even the first ones. One guy was sleeping in his truck. We got the best spot off to the right at the bottom of the stairs. We used shrimp. I followed a recipe I saw on Holy Moly Outdoor's youtube channel. Frozen salad shrimp, Pautzke Fire Brine (chartrueuse) and krill powder. It was a hit with the fish. We started out at about 15 feet deep and ended up at 40-45 feet deep. By 9 a.m. we had limited. Some guys there said it was a slow day. I was just looking forward to fried trout. The sun did not break until after we left. Not sure how much better it got after that.
Tight lines everyone!
