Headed out of Everett a minute or two till 5. Ran across to Possession with the rest of the guys. Thanks to that 24 footer I followed out. Made the ride a lot smoother staying in his wash. Not that it was rough, but still a nicer ride. Put the lines down a couple minutes before 5:30. Put one down while she handled the boat and turned around to put the other down. Got that down and turned around at the first pole was hooked up with a fish already. Grabbed it and started reeling and gave her the pole. It was her pole. I thought great if it is going to be like this. That fast of action! Be back home around 7:30 frying bacon. Then a couple shakers and nothing. Around 10:30 hooked up with a big guy. Was pulling line and wasn't coming up, so maybe a king? We will never know. Never saw it. Fought it for a minute or two and went slack. Love those barbless hooks don't we? That was it. Still a nice day out! Sunny, warm, water was flat. Only one guy trolling against everyone it seemed at least around me. Thanks to all you guys who follow the proper etiquette. Try again next week. Hopefully the quota isn't reached by then. Don't know where they are in the count for kings and the quota. Low tide was a bugger for a lot of guys around noon trying to get their boat on the dock in Everett. Glad I got a jet I guess. Slid right in. Pretty low tide. We fished right along the drop off. Ace High is what we used. Gear was at about 80 feet. So, maybe you know where the fish weren't for me and what not to use. Of course today is a new day.
