My friend Beau, and I came out at about 5:45 in the morning.
Two 10-12 inchers right off the bat off of rainbow powerbait off the bottom.
At about 7:00, we lost a 15-18 incher due to too light of line and bad
landing skills (my net had been stolen the previous day). We fished until
2:00. Numerous bites. A total of about 10 fish for the day. I recommend a
total of .5-1oz sliding sinkers with a swivel and about 2-4 feet of leader
with 2-5 lb test line with a size 14 or 16 treble hook covered with rainbow
or chartreuse powerbait, or a mix of both. MUST pay attention/set hooks every
time. The fish are in nibbling mood, not gulping mood. Good luck!
