This trip had been in the making for a couple years but I finally got to go fishing with my friend Capt. Keizer on his boat the salt patrol. His friend Jerry was also on the trip. Heading out of Ilwaco we found an upset Columbia river bar but as soon as we crossed it was a flat calm ocean. We trolled anchovies and found action right away. It wasnt too long before we had a couple in the box, followed by a couple more. I hooked into a solid king and lost it at the net. It was a great first experience fishing out of Ilwaco and a trip I wont forget!
