Sorry for not disclosing the location, but this was my first kokanee limit, so I need to protect the lake! Launched at about 6:30am and started marking fish immediately. I started with a wedding ring and maggots on one rod and a spin hoochie with corn on the other, but wasn’t getting bit. I switched to a plain hoochie with corn and that did the trick. Most fish were caught at 30ft deep in 50ft of water with a 25ft setback, but a few were caught on a shallow long line, including one of the big ones.

It was raining intermittently, but I covered my electronics with my jacket and figured I could stay out for a while that way. Luckily it only took until 8:30 to get my last fish, so I was out of the rain ahead of schedule.
