I went out to humpy hollow with my friend J.P. in hopes of targeting some pink salmon. I had just returned from a vacation and wasn't sure if they were still going strong or not so figured there is only one way to find out. We hit the 10th street boat ramp in the morning and found pink salmon jumping everywhere in humpy hollow. I thought why not try using kokanee rod and gear for them. We started hitting fish on hoochies at 50ft and what a fun fight they were. After landing a few and loosing several we decided to cast jigs with light tackle spinning gear to finish off our limits. I really enjoy the pink salmon season. I think next year I will try them on my fly rod. Tight lines!
