I took my wife out to area 8-2 on Labor day to fish just north of shipwreck. My wife has never fished for pink salmon. I was excited to see her catch her first one. We started off casting jigs to the fish that were jumping. We hooked a few right away but lost several at the boat. The jumpers disappeared so we switched to trolling pink hoochies on kokanee rods at 50ft. We got into pinks as well as a few coho. My wife had a great time and we came home with 4 nice pinks! Tight lines!
