I decided to do some exploring and drove to Dog lake. I left the boat at home and was glad I did because the ramp seemed a little too shallow to launch my boat. I must say that dog lake is a beautiful little lake right off the road. I heard there were brook trout as well as rainbows in the lake. I was really hoping to catch a brookie but ended up with a few nice rainbows. I fished from the bank using a slip bobber setup and a sliding sinker setup on my 2nd rod with power eggs. I managed to catch fish on both setups. I look forward to returning to this lake in the future. Tight lines!
