Well I never had so much fun loosing fish. Whatza Duckworth??"s reports got me off the couch and down to the lake so thanks for that. We launched at Keller and worked our way downriver and had lots of action in the morning, It wasn't until the 5th fish on that we actually put one on the live well. A combination of long line releases and clipped fish made filling the box a slow proposition, but that's OK we were having a good time giving each other a bad time for loosing fish. Seems like the bite was better in the morning and it was even warmer probably just due to less wind. We were finishing off our limit and I was filleting fish when my buddy hooked and boated a nice 18 inch Kokanee , that really put a shine on the day! So I went back to cutting and putting things away and darned if he didn't get a second one. Fishing has been slow for me this year and slow for Kokanee for a lot longer. Those 2 kokanee really made it a great day. Most of the trout were on the small side, our two biggest keepers were 16s. One of the unclipped fish that I released was a nice big one but for the most parted even the unclipped fish were on the small side. Seemed like anything pink was better than anything else and we were fishing 17 ft and up. Never saw a single fish on the depth finder all day . Maybe you all remember to check these things but I lost one fish when the knot between my 3 colors of leaded line and my backing popped on a fish. If somebody catches that fish they will have a real find, Lure, dodger, leader and 3 colors of leaded line.

Nice catch .. I was out also but in Hawk Cr. We had good luck trolling bucktails (perch color or blue/green body color) on 3.5 to 5 colors of lead line. Also never saw much on the fish finder but there were fish surface feeding so probably where they were located. Released one native while keeping 10 bows running from just under 15 to just under 18. Seems smaller than others have reported?

Started with one of my favorite Perch Kekedas but It seemed like pink was the winner. We were only going about 1.5 to 1.8 and running dodgers.

Hey part-time , glad "I could help"??. There's been sooo many times I've suffered from reading posts from you and others (hewesfisher) while sitting at home ,unable to get on the lake, that I felt it only fair to "return the favor". ;). Seems we have the same tactics when things slow down. It never fails, as soon as I start working on some fish...."fish, fish"!! That's really cool you was able to net a couple kokes!!! Thanks for the great report (I sent you a pm)

We would have been done pretty quick if we hadn't had so many long line releases. For a couple of guys that think they can find their way around a fishing rod we sure looked like rookies. Had more unclipped fish than I have seen in a long time also.

Glad to see you went out and got some action Mark. A couple of bonus kokanee is always a winner! Loosing fish is part of "The Experiment Must Continue"!
