Fished Cooper Lake for about 2 hours and boy did the results turn out amazing! Launched my Tamarack Fishing Kayak at first light, Since Cooper lake prohibited any motor of any type to be used on this lake it was no problem for me since I have my kayak Paddles with me at all times. I usually have a small Mini Kota Trolling motor mounted to the back of the kayak along with a interstate battery which can be removed which ids pretty awesome and handy especially in situations like this one. I started casting small jigs towards some logs sticking out the water on one side of the lake with little to no success. Finally I see a dark shadow and casted a trout magnet right towards it and started jigging it off the bottom of the lake floor. Water clarity was so crystal clear I had to be in 15-20 feet of water but I can see everything below me with the help of the sun beaming right behind me.All off a sudden the winds picked up and I lost visual of the fish. I keep casting out and nothing, on the last cast before I was just about to call it a day, Tick Tick/Vibration on my line and as I watched the slack line start getting pulled I SET the HOOK and Bam! Fish ON! Biggest Brown Trout I've ever caught and seen in person in the wild. Made Some great Fish Wraps with it and shared with the family and went great with rice and soy sauce too! One of the Best Days ever fishing/camping in the mountains with the Fammz. Bucket List Check! Tight Lines!- C-dro
