Rewriting this report as I think I closed out the window too early before my last one could be published.
Started around porcupine at 8 ish. Noticed the water was down a little from my last trip which is a good thing. Got into a school right off the bat which translated to a 5 fish limits worth within the first 10 minutes. After getting a handful more, I headed some miles upstream and found good concentrations fish and had constant action for the last 3 hours. Wasnt in the mood to clean fish so I focused on technique and patterns and safe catch and release. Finished the day with 48 trouts. Nothing too exciting size wise but the standard 17" average with some pretty and hard fighting natives in the mix which accounted for around 1/5 of the catch.
Most fish were caught in the upper 20' Best colors were chartreuse and peach.
May try some new water way up North on the Columbia this week-weather permitting.
Good luck out there everyone.
