I didn't arrive to the lake until about 10am. There was one guy fishing of the dock, and another anchored about fifty feet off the dock. The trout were rising all over in front of the dock, but no where else on the lake. This led me to believe that the lake had just been planted, and I was right, WDFW had planted 2,000 hatchery fish just that morning. I launched my boat and headed out about 100 feet, and began casting small spinners, I had two fish in the boat in no time! Not huge by any means, but still fun! I decided not to keep anymore for a while, or I would have been done way to soon. So I loaded my boat back up, and began fishing from the dock, still casting spinners. The action was fast and furious!!!! I was hooking and releasing trout every other cast! Then the WDFW truck came back and dumped in 2,000 more!! In my 26 years of fishing in this state, I had never been at a lake as it was planted. Now I am all about working all day to catch a couple respectable size trout, but I have to admit, this was way to much fun! I could cast out, hook a trout, have him fly off, and hook another one before I was done reeling in my line...It was a blast!! All tolled about nine people came and left with limits, and it took about a half hour per person! I even called my girlfriend and had her drive up to the lake and catch a limit! Before I finally kept number five, I had caught and released about fifty trout, I was very happy with the day, and for one afternoon, I felt like I was five years old, and at the trout farm for the first time again!!
