Since the weather was getting warmer, I took the family to two of my favorite places Westport and Tokeland, Washington. Plus wifey was craving shellfish , and I was gladly obliged. We originally just targeting Razor clam for the evening dig with only -0.5 tide at 7:40PM, so we were worried that we might not get Razor clam. We arrive around 7:30PM and saw lots of folks leaving, but we were up to the challenge and pulled through with four limits of Razor clam for five people before tides turn. We all used clam guns to get our Razor clams. We stayed at Westport Inn for the night with wonderful accommodations, and the next morning we head over to Tokeland to tried for crab with crab pots and crab snares on the marina dock, shucks oyster, and rake for steamer clam. We had a wonderful day and was not disappointed. See video link below

Dangs IGOTFISHON,

I am very familiar with that area you were in. I used to go to Tokeland in the 90's, stayed at The Tokeland hotel. I am familiar with the small docks there, but seriously.. never would have thought you could pull Dungeness from the dock! And the steamers/mussels, are you willing to say where you found them at?
I am going down to Oregon in a couple days, I will be driving some of the coastal areas in SW Washington.

Anyway, amazing harvest. I hope your family had so much fun, they want to go again. (-:

THE QUADFATHER, I saw a post about catching Dungeness Crab on the Tokeland dock, and we gave it a go and was lucky. As far as the Steamers, they are found small jetty on the other side of the marina. There are oysters, and you have to shuck them there. That’s as much info as I am willing to give out. Good luck and Happy fishing.
