Well my fishing partner showed up on time and had his own gear and brought his own lunch so I can't blame any of this trip on him so I guess I will just have to take the heat myself. So this is the way this story goes; We launched at 7 Bays and headed down towards Lincoln. Put some bottom walkers out and within 10 minutes I had a nice eater in the boat. Good start, here we go. Ya right. Three hours later we have worked about a half mile of shore line down there and not another fish. By the way, it was supposed to be a warm day but it was mainly cold and windy. So we go up to Canal Flats and drag around there for a bit, no action. So we go up to the first narrows above Ft. Spokane, no action. So around mid afternoon we drop in up past the cemetery and start picking up some fish on the bouncers. Had some decent action for a bit so I tried the spot lock and switched to jigs. No confidence in my jigging game so after 20 minutes with no fish we went back to the bounces and got some more. Did I not have the right color of jig or just what. They were hitting a bouncer with just a slow death hook and a worm so I figured they would hit a simple jig with a worm. Well anyway we ended the day with 10 nice eaters. Still no big one that I have to put back, our biggest fish was 19 inches. So I launched at 7 bays, hit 4 spots and a lot of miles before I found some and if I would have launched at Porcupine I could have hit this spot in 5 minutes. That's just the way I roll. Nest time!
