Went down to Fish lake for opening day. A biologist doing creel surveys said people fishing from shore were having low catch rates. We launched before noon and went down the lake and began catching fish on every few casts, we ended up catching about 20 and kept 10 of the larger ones. Most fish were fall planted brook trout with some smaller tiger trout. Brook trout averaged 14-16” and tiger trout averaged 8-10” except for one 18”. Fish were biting various spoons and spinners with firetiger colored lures doing best.
