Got out on the lake about 7:30 and headed out to the "hedges" in about 30 ft. of water. Fished there for over an hour and caught 1 13 inch rainbow and a few perch. Lost one that seemed kind of big but it wrapped around the anchor rope and broke my leader. Tried powerbait and single eggs but they seemed to like worms. After that the traffic on the lake got very busy. That's the problem here on nice days. We pulled up anchor and went to fish in the cove at the other end of the lake. We anchored there at about 20 ft. and the perch and bluegill were biting like crazy. We kept some of the larger perch to fillet but the bluegill were on the smaller side. I think I'll wait until fall to head here again because of the traffic.
