Spent four hours 11-3 looking for the trout. Normally, this time of year, we'd find them fast and furious, but today was a bit challenging. The weather was around 60 degrees, calm to light wind and water temps 59-60.5.
K had been sick last week so he was promised to catch the largest fish. Maybe he did, maybe he didn't. He got the first fish on and it got off and he had the last fish of the day and it got off too. So we will pretend we honored out pity-promise.
As the troll was slow we decided to plug a bit even though it's early for bass. We did find the dinks which was pretty fun. We decided to have a real shore lunch as long as we could tight-rope walk the logs on and off the shore. No one got wet.
At the end of the day, the Park and lake was getting plenty busy with kayakers and SUPS, so we decided to wrap. The body count was 20. P. 10 (all bass) and me 3 trout and 4 bass, 1 pumpkinseed and K. 2 bass and 2 trout missed.
