Much slower start today compared to the last 2 outings. I think with the partly sunny skies, the fish werent roaming as much and holding tighter to cover. Staying with the jerkbait, I didnt hookup until about 45 mins into fishing. Out in the open though in shallow inside weedline. Looked like a 2# SMB and of course it pops off halfway to the boat. I made another cast in the same area and hookup instantly but this one is much smaller. Only about a 1# SMB. At least no skunk.

It's obvious the jerkbait isnt as hot as it was, so I started mixing in a lipless crank, football jig and dropshot.

Caught a FAT 1# SMB on the crank in med depth. It was thick and chunky.

Landed a handful more SMB with the jerkbait in shallow water and lost only 2 today after hooking up on the jerkbait.

Biggest SMB caught today was on a dropshot @ 3.39#. Landed 2 more nice SMB on the dropshot. I lost a nice one on the dropshot when it got between the motor and hull and wrapped me up a bit. Thought I was onto another pattern but it didnt pan out. Only SMB today.
