Hit Failor Lake with the fly rod on Memorial Day weekend. Started with a sink-tip line and had no luck for the first several minutes, but then switched to an intermediate line and a large (size four) wooly bugger and got some action. The first fish of the day ran to 22" and probably four or five pounds (the term "football trout" gets overused, but it probably fits in this case). Another bruiser broke that fly off, but I put on a smaller pattern of the same and took several more, keeping two jumbos out of four landed in total (plus one LDR). Also got several smaller stockers and kept a couple of those for the pan. Was happy to land a wild cutthroat as well (released). Good fishing weather with intermittent breezes and mostly cloudy - but not too cold. Folks fishing off the bottom near the boat launch were also doing well.
