So I didn't actually fish the river today, but I fished 3 areas in the Middle-Fork valley. First I did the short hike to Oxbow lake and brought my raft. 2 years ago that lake was full of small bass. Today I didn't see any trace of fish whatsoever, it's like they vanished. Next up I fished the stream that flows on the other side of the road from the trailhead and saw a minnow and a fish about 3 or 4 inches. Last stop was a small beaver pond near the road and I finally caught some fish, though small. I did actually take two casts in the river as well, but I'm not counting that. Overall, the scenery is a lot better than the fishing there, but of course it's a very visited nature area.
