Went solo to Long Lake. On the water by sunrise and started trolling spinners near weedbeds. Caught six on the first pass and should have just turned around and gone through the same area but wanted to try a different area. Caught a few nice perch and then went back to the first area. Only caught one more eye. Six were 18 to 20 inches and the other was 15.5 inches. The walleye bite was over by 0730 so I did a little bass fishing. The smallies were hitting top water so I had fun watching them smash my choppo. None were very big but they were sure entertaining. I was just out for fun so everything was released. 7 eyes 12 perch and 18 smallies for the morning.
