I went to Black lake for the first time Saturday. I got on the water about 7:40 and started trolling. I found this lake has some big fish, but the numbers seem to be low. I didn't see any perch or sunfish here, and only one small bass that got away. I hooked one pretty big trout, about 13-15 inches and at least a pound, but he got away at the boat. I saw and heard some big fish jumping that seemed to be trout, but couldn't get any others to bite. The ones I saw breaching looked around 2 to 5 pounds. I saw one fish try to catch a small bird. The far end is very weedy and would be awesome for bluegill, they really should plant some here because the fish population seems to be low IMO.
