On 10/5/01 about 9:00 am started out for a morning of fishing late start because of the cold morning it was about 25 degrees at night. Fishing was excellent hooked and released about 40 - 50 fish this day that were all between the 8 to 9 inch size range keeping the first one just in case. We also kept 6 other trout that were 15 -17 inches and another that was 2 1/2 pounds nice one dad. The second day started out exactly the same with releasing many small trout and missing a lot of hits. But around 11:00 am here comes the wind and the end of the day fishing. Stopped blowing in the middle of the night and we got up early as we were going to be headed home early. Fishing really slowed from the past two days but seemed to be picking up as the day warmed. We ended up taking home ten nice fish - that's 18 pounds of fish. We were trolling with flashers and lures as slow as I would go about .2 to .4 miles per hour according to my humminbird fish finder. In about 20 30 feet of water after a lot of large schools but the larger fish are mostly loaners by themselves. The largest amount of fish are in the 10 -25 foot range. I would fish shallow in the morning and evening and go a little deeper if the sun is out .
