I Fished Lake Meridian Going after some Bronze Backs and well... I found some. The weather took a turn and it was colder than the days before and had a great over-cast of some grey clouds, but it never rained. I can feel the thickness of the air, not sure if it was humid or the opposite, but i fished weather like this before and got on some good Small-Mouth Bass Bites. I began casting and cruising towards the west side of the lake opposite of the boat launch and that's where I hooked up on a nice 2.76# Smallie. The fish put up a fantastic fight, it flew out of the water from a distance as soon as I set the hook, which looked epic from a distance. I ended up lipping the fish, which is weird since I had a net right behind me but I got the fish in either or. I Weighed it and safely released it back to the same area I caught it.

I ended up fishing the whole entire lake and when I got close to where I started I hooked up on another good size fish(most likely same size as first maybe bigger). For some reason I had a different hook on or maybe grabbed a different rod and reel set-up with a different type hook but this hook bent out which I should of known better cause these types i've used in the past but are only good brand new and after a couple uses, the metal starts getting weak.

So I changed the hook to a stronger jig hook and casted back to the same area. I twitched a couple of times, since it was shallow and I had a heavy jig I let it sit on the lake floor and twitched it a couple times then let it sit for a few seconds each time. Finally I see my line moving and I knew it was fish on! Reeled the fish in and it was smaller than the first fish I caught this morning but still put up a great fight.

Caught some bluegills after that and ended the day with some fish slime on my hands! Now Time to Search for Some Green Backs!
