With the sunny spring weather I tried an early fishing trip. I went to Black lake this morning, the north end. I have a new fishing thermometer but it's in celsius for some reason. Anyways google says 9 c is 48 degrees F and that felt accurate. Since it's still pretty cold the fish were missing in action. I saw two small feeding rings and what seemed to be one fish jump and that's it for the whole morning. I thought I had a nibble once or twice but no real bites. I tried a wedding ring, bait, spoon, and spinner and nothing worked. Probably in a few weeks the trout will feel more like eating.
