I went down to Silver lake this morning for the first time ever. I was hoping to find bass and I did find them but they wouldn't bite. I thought maybe I could catch some trout as they were supposedly stocked but I never found any all day. I did have a small fish on my line for a few seconds that could have been a trout. I finally caught a crappie on a spinner. I didn't catch anything on my spoon or bait. Beautiful day and the water was in the low to mid 50's. The water is pretty brown and murky. I was glad to catch my first fish of the year, but overall it was a disappointing day.
