I haven’t been out in the boat since Sept. 2023 so it was a shake down trip today with John Knudsen. It went OK except I forgot how to start my underwater video cameras.
The water temperature was 52 degrees at 8:30am to start with and 55 when we stopped at noon. It was mostly cloudy but with some sunbreaks and one shower. Only a slight breeze that made me put my coat back on.
We longlined our rods with just a dodger for weight up to 5/8oz. We used pink, green maggots with unscented or garlic corn. But not all at once. Speed was about 1.1 to 1.7mpg.
John was keeping track of fish on, which was 6 between us, with two getting in the boat. Both were about 14-inch cutthroats.
Alder lake level was 1,195.98 feet with the maximum of 1,207 feet.
