My brother and I took the boat out to troll Sunday morning. Wind was low, few people were out. My setup was a ford fender with a red wedding ring tipped with night crawler, his was a red rooster tail tipped with "balls of fire" behind a silver holographic dodger. I was trolling on the surface with 75 feet of line out, he had a 1/2oz weight with roughly the same amount of line out. Lines were in the water at about 8:15 a.m.. Initially, there was light rain, but over the course of a few hours things cleared up some into partly cloudy.

We started trolling halfway up the lake, just west of Mint Grove. I caught the first fish, a dink of a yellow perch. My brother caught the first cut a few minutes later, a roughly 11.5" trout. It was his first ever cut, so we kept it, I would've deemed it too small to keep. From there, things really picked up and I hit three good sized cuts in a row, ranging from 13" to 15". By around 11:00 things had started to slow down, so we started slowly making our way to the weather buoy. By noon, we circled the weather buoy and hit two more healthy trout and had them in the boat.
