No fish on my line BUT watch the video:
My son came down to take me fishing. It was a cold morning of clouds in the 50’s with a breeze and gusts that made it feel even colder.
The water temperature was 65. We fished from 8:30 to 10:30am with only 1 bite. Little did we know what was under the water.
We longlined and used the downriggers. Our speed was 1.1 to 1.7. We kept seeing schools of something on the fishfinder at about 50 feet and below. After about an hour I went down to 46 feet and later I got the only bite. Then my son went down that far but he got nothing.
We used many different lures and dodgers with corn, worms, and maggots.
Unfortunately, TPU Lake levels and boat launches as of June 14 Pool 1206.13 is the most recent update. That was 9 days before we went.
Exiting the parking lot we were delayed by the crossing of a doe and fawn.

That school appear to be White crappie, to me, as they act like crappie I've seen underwater (while snorkeling at Tanwax). I could be wrong- hard to get a good screenshot from the video. Have you changed out your down-rigger release clip yet- since it is still holding the fish for a minute as in a lot of your videos. Are you looping the line around or past (inside) the clip pads? Three twists for a tight loop should release most at only a 4-7# pull from the lure. Any fish that stays on the line for a minute or so (at Video time of 5:11 onward) 'till he rips his mouth out without showing your rod tip a bite on is going to die from a predator fish BIG RB- or of starvation- slow and painful- kokanee need their mouth to work with gills to feed. Keep the videos coming, as I am logging the best color, shape of your lures and dodgers that have worked- they sure don't like your first on with big Blue dots- very predator looking- no cutt./kok would get close to the lure. Thanks for the video.
