Testing out new cranking battery and it's a success!

Started a bit late today, so I didn't go too before started casting. Going through my rotation. Morning started off with the lake smooth as glass. Took about 45 minutes before there was a change and a slight breeze kicked on. This also seemed to put the fish in a biting mood bc finally fish on! Nice chunky 2# large.

And the largie bite continued on throughout the morning. Mostly in shallow waters. 2-5'. There will be clusters of fish. Then nothing for a stretch, then another cluster.

By noon, the breeze went away and sun is breaking through the clouds. I started fishing deeper and caught a couple smallies on the dropshot.

The biggest largie that I weighed was 2.99#. Most were around 2#. Most were post spawn and very skinny. The 2nd Pic fish weighed only about 2.25#. All largies caught on 1 lure. I think 10 or 11. Only 3 smallies. 1 on the hot lure and others dropshot. Nothing big. Best smallie was prob 1.5#. Decent day for 3.5 hours of fishing.

BTW, is the forum not working anymore?

It looks like it is working now, but uber slow. I think there are so many ad pop ups loaded that it takes a long time to get a page up. I think I saw you today, but you were so busy looking at your screen when leaving, you didn't look over. You were casting towards docks south of the fart hole, and I was just north of you. I worked out mostly on the drop off at around 20', but when to try a few docks like I saw you doing. I had one largemouth pick it up and run off with it. You left a little bit past noon. Assuming that was you.

I was working the shoreline and eventually saw a boat that looked like it was trolling along the no wake buoys. Figured I'll continue along since we're fishing different types of water. As I was getting closer, I saw the boat turn and moving towards the docks. Boater had a neon green shirt on. That's when I bail and was on the phone. Headed towards launch and stopped off to eat my lunch on the water lol.

I'm gonna try again the morning.

Yup, that was me. There are some reeds next to that dock that always have a few largies hanging out.
